Privacy Policy
Zamborin Games (“we”, “us”, or “the site”) operates zamborin.com and the small browser games hosted on it. This page explains what information we collect, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing personal. We don’t ask you to sign up, log in, or share any identifying information to play. Your high score and a few game preferences are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They never leave your device.
Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads that are relevant to you, measure their effectiveness, and prevent fraud. The cookies they set may include identifiers that allow ads to be personalised based on your visits to this and other websites over time.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent banner the first time they visit. You can choose to consent, not consent, or manage your individual options. Your choice is stored in a cookie so we don’t prompt again every visit.
You can opt out of personalised ads any time by visiting Google’s Ads Settings page, or learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and see how quickly pages load. They set no cookies and don’t identify you. Our games also report a few anonymous events through them, such as a level started or finished, its number and how long it took, so we can see which games people enjoy. No names, accounts or anything you type are ever sent.
Our apps
Zamborin Marble, Zamborin Karrots, Zamborin Fathom, Zamborin Bloom, Zamborin Litmus, Zamborin Tessera, Zamborin Evac, Zamborin Ballast, Zamborin Kaleido, Zamborin Orbit, Zamborin Mobile, Zamborin Ricochet, Zamborin Comb and Zamborin Untangle are our games on the App Store, and Zamborin Marble is also on Google Play. Your progress and settings stay in each app’s own storage on your phone or tablet, and are removed when you uninstall it. We have no accounts and collect no personal information ourselves.
The iPhone and iPad apps show ads from Google AdMob (Zamborin Marble from version 1.1): a short ad now and then between levels, dives, runs or games, and a video you can choose to watch for a reward: to skip a level in Marble, Karrots, Bloom, Litmus, Kaleido, Orbit, Mobile, Comb and Untangle, to recover a lost haul in Fathom, or for one more go in Tessera, Evac, Ballast and Ricochet. To show and measure those ads, Google’s software in the app collects your approximate location (from your internet address), the ads you see and tap, how you interact with the app, crash and performance data, and your device’s advertising identifier. Google uses the advertising identifier to show you ads based on your activity in other apps and websites only if you allow it when the app asks (for example “Allow Marble to track your activity”); you can change that any time in your device’s Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland each app first asks for your consent through Google’s form, and “Privacy choices” under the game’s rules card lets you change your answer. The ads are limited to ones suitable for everyone. How Google uses this information is set out in Google’s policy for partner apps.
The Google Play app of Zamborin Marble has no advertising and no analytics, and makes no network requests. If we add anything to an app that changes what it collects, we will say so here first.
Children
The site is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, please contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you’re in a jurisdiction that grants data-protection rights (the EU/EEA, UK, California, etc.), you have the right to ask what information about you we hold, request a copy, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. Since we don’t collect personal information ourselves, requests of this kind generally need to be directed at Google as the advertising partner. Use Google’s Ads Settings for the ad-personalisation aspect.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how data is handled on Zamborin Games, we’ll update this page and bump the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
